Catch A Night of Stars on Thursday 06 July at Tanks Arts Centre.
The feature work of the evening will be the Australian premiere for the Seagull Nebula by award winning composer Michael Csanyi-Wlls. The work depicts an imaginary journey through space to the awesome star system of the Seagull nebula.
Also starring in A Night of Stars will be the talented Australian violinist Caroline Hopson, performing the popular and famous Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E minor.
A Night of Stars promises to be an exciting celebration of classical music. Working under the baton of International Maestro, Mark Eager, (from the UK), the event will star musicians who have come from across Australia for the 6th successive year to form the Cairns Winter Orchestra.
Other works on this entertaining program will be the familiar Egmont overture by Beethoven and Mendelssohn's Italian Symphony.
