Visit Cairns on January 26, Australia Day. The Cairns Regional Council celebrates Australia Day with various free events all over the region as Australians reflect, respect and celebrate.

Join the Cairns' Family Fun Day Poolside with your entire family. From 9 am to noon, pool entry is FREE. The Rotary Club Cairns West Branch also provides a vast floating inflatable, a Jump Zone, and sausage sizzles. The adults will enjoy the live DJ, and children can enjoy face painting with Rachel Bradley from Cairns Costume Hire.

This Australia Day, visit Tobruk Memorial Pool to celebrate and cool off. The Cairns Performing Arts Center and Tanks Arts Centre are presenting the Cairns Summer Sounds 2023. The region will experience a sizzling summer thanks to its music lineup. The multi-instrumental dynamos The Cat Empire brings the tropics to life with infectious grooves, unique voice and charismatic style on February 3 and 4.

The Cat Empire is sure to be a hit with viewers. With a new collaborative lineup, a new album, and a new live show, this special event will honour the band's incredible 21-year history.
